Romans 9:1-4 Episode 19

Alright here is the new podcast.  I have to say that we will probably be doing a lot of background and history stuff throughout this chapter so if that is boring for you I apologize ahead of time.  I think though that it is important to understand what happened in the past because it will be relevant in our next few chapters.  So hang in there.  There are a lot of references to track down, and they are in the study guide so I would strongly encourage you to print that out.  Have a great week.

Romans 7:1-10 Episode 13

Alright everyone.  This week we are getting into Romans 7.  In this chapter Paul talks about the Law.  We are going to talk about how the Law no longer has a hold on us because  we are now in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Don’t forget to check out the study guide if you find that helpful.  Thank you for coming back and continuing to listen along with us.

Romans 6:4-6:23 Episode 12

Hello everybody.  Here is the new podcast.  In this episode we finish chapter 6.  Paul talks about how there are 2 masters (sin and Christ), and he challenges us to pick 1.  This was a difficult episode for me because in my life I have tried in the past to serve both, but of course that didn’t work.  If we call Jesus our Lord then we need to submit to Him as our master.  Don’t forget to print out the study guide if you find that helpful.  Have a wonderful week everyone.

Romans 4:9-4:25 Episode 9

Hello again.  Here is the new podcast.  In this study we continue to look at the faith of Abraham.  Be ready to flip back to the book of Genesis as we continue to dig into this amazing man’s life.  Paul shows how Abraham was saved apart from circumcision and the law.  In this lesson we finish chapter 4, and we also read 1 Corinthians chapter 15 to get a glimpse into why the resurrection of Jesus Christ was so important.  I hope that you enjoy this study, and that the Holy Spirit really speaks to you.  Don’t forget to print out the study guide if you find that helpful.  Thanks for coming back and have a great week.

Romans 2:25-3:24 Episode 6

Hello everyone and welcome back for another session.  In this lesson we finish chapter 2 and begin chapter 3.  The early chapters have been sort of heavy, but now that we are in chapter 3 we are starting to see the solution to man’s sin problem.  Remember in the first session we talked about God’s problem.  How can a righteous God forgive a fallen person?  In this lesson we see how through His grace He sent His Son to die for us so that through faith in Him we can be saved.  So I hope that you enjoy this study.  Also please print out the study guide if you find that helpful.  In the session I could not remember a verse, but it is John 6:44, which says, “No one can come to me unless the Father draws  him, and I will raise him up at the last day.”  Also we talk about the Dead Sea Scrolls so I am attaching a link if you want to check that out.  Have a great week everyone.  Remember you can leave questions or comments on our blog or Facebook group.
